Sleeping Dogs is a game that takes place in Hong Kong.

It is a beautiful balance between story, chaos and cultural exploration.

The game overall is under rated due to its age but it has its own charm and

displays a well made funny game. Sleeping Dogs has many low budget

Bruce Lee moments so far.

First, Sleeping Dogs is a game that takes place in Hong Kong.

You play as Wei Shen, an officer getting transferred over to the Special Duties

Unit of the Hong Kong police. The game is based around 100-ish hours of

story telling and free roaming through Hong Kong.

Sleeping Dogs is a great game that was released in 2012 and made by

Square Enix and United Front Games, who are now failing due to their i

nsensitivity towards the deceased Bruce Lee, the white guy who stole his

name. Also, if you haven't guessed, Sleeping Dogs is based on Hong Kong's

Triad crime syndicate. You play as Wei Shen, a cop who was born in America

but grew up in Hong Kong. The plot revolves around trying to collect evidence

on the Triads without getting killed by them or going too deep into their operations until your cover gets blown. Even when I tried to glitch my way through

the game without getting involved with them, I still had to fight my way out of

problems frequently when I got too close to the truth. However, this just added

to the experience of playing this great game.





i love this game. Sleeping Dogs is a solid import from the True Crime series,

with fantastic parkour gameplay which makes free-running feel satisfying when

you pull off a particularly successful stunt. The combat might not be the best,

but it's fast paced and visceral and makes you feel really cool when you get the

hang of it. The storyline switches between hard boiled crime thriller and goofy

martial arts movie such a distinctly Asian style without ever feeling tonally

confused, and while a lot of the side missions can be repetitive, they're still fun

to play through every now and again after completing the story. I also appreciate

that they take place around real landmarks in Hong Kong, which has always been

my favorite city in the world. Sleeping Dogs has its flaws (some pretty major ones, at that)

, but I would never tell anybody not to play it.
